We would like to inform you that as of December 1, 2023, Germany has changed their toll system (MAUT). From today, in addition to the existing toll, a CO2 road user fee based on CO2 emission classes, is applied to trucks over 7.5 tons. Additional charge varies depending on the vehicle’s emission class, weight and number of axles. Applied environmental fee affects the transport prices of shipments passing through Germany and moving from and to Germany. From 01.07.24, the environmental fee will also apply to 3.7-7.5 ton vehicles.
The new system means that truck tolls will rise significantly in Germany, and this change aims to reduce the transport sector’s CO2 emissions. ACE Logistics has decided that no additional charge will be applied to the price lists which are valid until the end of 2023. The higher cost base is taken into account when making one-off offers to customers who do not have permanent price lists.
However, we inform you that changes in the pricing of Germany and other Central and Southern European countries may apply from 01.01.2024. We will do our best to keep the price increase minimum, but we must consider these new costs, which directly affect our operations.
