ACE Logistics has been offering logistics services since 1992. This year we have established an affiliate in the sixth country. In April, ACE Logistics Ukraine LLC, based in Kiev, started operating.
Andres Matkur, CEO of ACE Logistics Group, said that the corona epidemic has not affected our long-term growth strategy in any way. He sees a large market and clear growth potential in Ukraine. The strategy in Ukraine is to provide customers with the same services that are offered in other ACE Logistics companies and countries they operate in, while finding additional opportunities for internal synergies and consolidation of cargo volumes. Ukrainian company will primarily offer road, air and sea transport.
Tõnu Sepp, Chairman of the Board, adds that they have considered starting operations in the Ukrainian market for several years. So far, the main obstacle for ACE has been the high level of corruption in that country. He believes that Ukraine is moving in the right direction, and considers it right to contribute to the development of a very sympathetic country as experienced foreign investor. ACE Logistics has been operating profitably in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus and Finland for many years, and is confident that their transport services are also suitable for Ukrainian industrial and commercial companies.
The Ukrainian company was opened on April 1st, 2020 and is managed by Olena Dashko, who has previously held leader positions in several international logistics companies. Olena Dashko comments on her starting at ACE Logistics as follows “I worked in Tallinn for two weeks in February and got a thorough overview of the company’s operations at the head office. I experienced a great atmosphere, which is a very good example of how leaders work with their teams. I take the best knowledge of this experience and want to form a strong team of professionals in Ukraine as well.
