ACE Logistics UAB was established on 16.October 1996. in Vilnius and this year they are celebrating their 25th year of operation. We asked for their managing director, Ignas Puluikis, to give us a small sum up on how the company was established, what are the past five years biggest changes and what they have accomplished.
ACE Logistics was in Lithuania one of the first ones, who started offering airfreight services. At the beginning there were just three employees and by now the Lithuanian service portfolio is much bigger than it used to be. The company provides air, sea, road and combined transportation, as well as it ensures all the additional support services a customer would like to have, such as warehousing or customs warehousing services as well as customs services – all at one place.
The managing director of ACE Logistics Lithuania, Ignas Puluikis, did a summary on the biggest changes in the past five years and he brings out that there were a lot of new things during that time period. In the summer of 2017 ACE Logistics moved to new terminal building, which has about 1000m2 room for terminal and same amount also for the warehouse and customs warehouse. By today the amount of employees has increased to 55 people, who can use more than 450m2 of office area. But due to corona situation the office is half-empty and people are working mostly remotly from home offices. Despite the circumstances, which are changing so quickly, ACE Logistics Lithuania remained steadily growing and well organized. Key factor of such success are committed, loyal and result oriented colleagues. “Our personnel grew by 40 % during last five years and more than 1/3 are engaged with ACE Logistics for more than ten years. I am very thankful to all of them and wish them continuous enthusiasm and ambitions!” adds Ignas.
“My creative colleagues ensured that our turnover grew by 2,5 times and market share increased steadily within last five years. Our service portfolio was expanded by aceB2C and aceSpeed10 services in roadfreight and last years the railway transport has grown significantly. New worldwide partnership agreements was established to guarantee highest quality of airfreight services. Fleet of delivery trucks were increased and could be seen all over Lithuania! E-ace environment is open for customers not only for track and trace but also for price calculation and ordering. Because all of that, our volumes have increased and our newly built logistics center in 2017 starts becoming too small for us, so therefore we are actively looking for opportunities to expand, “ continues Ignas proudly the praise to the past five year accomplishments.
Existing regulations make restrictions to social life, but it did not limit ACE Lithuania’s creativity. To celebrate company’s 25th anniversary they organized open air American style “drive-in” cinema for their customers, where they watched the comedy Palm Springs and ate burgers. Events took place on the top floor of Vilnius airport parking lot and at Kaunas historical airport. “We wanted to find an opportunity to thank our customers for the long-term cooperation and I think we succeeded in that”, adds Ignas.
Ignas brings out: “I am sure that even in new environment we will keep corporative spirit and will cherish our best values. I believe we are able to meet customers’ expectations and we are able to implement challenges posed by shareholders”.
